MODEL IMAGES
These images represent my old model. After consultation with my tutor, i had to change the underground to a more influential 3d model rather then extruding it. Same with the above ground. The stair images are also my first old model which i ended up hating it because it just didn't fit with my overall model (However, the underground stairs uses the same concept in my new model of the stairs - expanding)
STAIR IMAGES Follows the shape of a shoe, as a shoe has curves that could symbolize a women. Original materials: Timber flooring, thin steel poles for support
UPPER GROUND

These stairs represent the 'expansion' description i used for Hall's work. The stairs gradually expand to a wider ending, which could be seen with the flowers expanding out of the tuna box in Fiona's artwork. Original materials: timber and many thin delicate timber poles for support
UNDERGROUND
NEW MODEL IMAGES

As seen in the above image, my objective for underground was to achieve the best possible method in representing a continuous expansion. The thin walls, start at the tip (bottom) and gradually increase to a more larger degree. The other technique i attempted to achieve was through the sharp objects that start from the bottom of the tip. The sizes ranges, where two of the larger objects, try to 'force' there way into the above ground. The materials that will be used would be glass for the sharp objects, timber for the expanding walls (as Fiona Hall uses a variety of natural elements in her artwork from the environment) and marble tiles for the floor.
Underground stair image: The stairs used for underground virtually uses the same concept as the first stairs i created. The stairs start from the first level of the underground to the floor level. Materials:Golden timber stairs, thin metal poles for support
Far view of the whole 'developing' model
Upper ground image: The noun 'women' from Moffat's work was used to develop the the above ground model. The representation of curves to illustrate 'women' was the best option i had to choose from, one of the principles Moffat uses in her artwork (sex, violence and prejudice). The curves within the outside further enhances the concept of trajectory. Materials: Glass for particular walls, tiling, timber and steel rods for support.
STAIRS (NEW)

The stairs gradually become wider.
